Both of them run on Android. Gionee Dream D1 Comes with a 1.2 GHz Quad Core processor and the UMI X2 comes with a 1.2 GHz Quad Core processor. Multiple core processor (Dual and Quad core) helps the device multitask better. Both the devices have 3G network compatibilty. Both the devices support Dual SIM.
Display (& Touch)
Both the devices have Capacitive touchscreen. Capacitive touchscreens give better accuracy and control than Resistive touchscreens and they respond pretty well even to the slightest of touches. To learn more about display types and technology, click here. The UMI X2 comes with a screen that has a higher screen resolution as compared to the screen resolution in Gionee Dream D1. Higher the resolution, more detailed and clear the display is. Texts and other content appear much sharper in high resolution displays.
Camera & Storage
UMI X2 has a better Megapixel rating for the camera (13 MP) than Gionee Dream D1 (8 MP). Both of them have secondary (front facing) camera, enabling you to do video chat. Both the devices have MicroSD card slot for memroy expansion.
Design and Portability
UMI X2 is 8.9 mm thick making it 2.3 mm slimmer than Gionee Dream D1 whose thickness is 11.2 mm. UMI X2 is 6% smaller than Gionee Dream D1. UMI X2 is very heavy as compared to Gionee Dream D1.
